MOC to launch their eleventh Bedside Performance Program delivering the healing power of music
Nashville, Tenn. (Tuesday, November 15, 2011) – Kellie Pickler, Casey James, and a sold-out crowd celebrated four years of Musicians On Call’s (MOC) dedication to the Nashville community last Saturday, November 12.  The intimate affair, held at the Hard Rock Cafe Nashville, raised over $10,000 for the cause which will, in-turn, be used to launch a new weekly Bedside Performance Program this January.  This new addition marks their eleventh LIVE music program since the MOC Nashville inception in 2007.
Pickler, who entertained the crowd with selections from her forthcoming album 100 Proof, expressed her gratitude to MOC noting, “Thank you so much for everyone who’s been a part of Musicians On Call. You’ve put a lot of smiles on people’s faces!”  100 Proof will be available beginning January 24, 2012.
"Kellie Pickler and Casey James put on a fantastic show and because of their generosity, we will be able to bring the healing power of music to even more patients," said Katy Epley, Program Director of Musicians On Call's Nashville branch. "We are so grateful for the Hard Rock Cafe and WSIX for all their support in making our 4th Anniversary concert a sold-out success!"
MOC Nashville has been able to serve over 43,000 individuals with the support of the local community and with the help of artists like Pickler and James.  The organization offers a variety of ways to be involved, including the new “Rock A Patient’s World” initiative where a company or individual(s) can sponsor a hospital room ensuring that patient a visit by a musician every week for one year through the MOC Bedside Performance Program.  The $500 sponsorship includes a decorative keepsake for your home or office and you are able to choose which of the six local hospitals to support.  For a full list of participating area hospitals and more information, please visit the MOC Nashville website.

About Kellie Pickler
Kellie Pickler grew up immersed in country music in the small town of Albemarle, North Carolina with the words of Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton shaping her musical footing.   At the age of 19 she gained fame as a contestant on the fifth season of American Idol where it was evident to all that she was a star.  In 2006, she signed to 19 Recordings and BNA Records to release her debut, Small Town Girl, which has gone on to sell over 800,000 copies worldwide and produce three singles, “Red High Heels,” “I Wonder,” and “Things That Never Cross a Man’s Mind.”  In 2008, Pickler released her self-titled sophomore record featuring country radio hits “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful,” “Best Days of Your Life” (co-written with Taylor Swift and her first Top 10), and “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You.”  Having established herself as not only a powerful vocalist but also a songwriter, Pickler recently wrapped up in the studio with famed producer Frank Liddell (known for his work with Miranda Lambert) and Luke Wooten to record her January 24, 2012 release, 100 Proof.
Pickler has co-written six of the 11 tracks on the album with the lead single, “Tough,” serving as the lead single.
About Casey James:
19 Recordings/BNA Records artist Casey James first emerged on the national scene with his third-place run on Season 9 of American Idol, but Casey had already been making music for more than a decade when he took his mom’s advice to try out for the hit series. A native of Cool, TX, James grew up surrounded by music; both his parents played guitar and sang, as did other family members, and Casey was playing guitar and performing throughout his young adulthood. His wide-ranging influences include such artists as Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, ZZ Top, and Bonnie Raitt, with a mix of ‘70s rock, blues, and outlaw country all helping to shape his style. Following his success on Idol, Casey set his sights on Nashville, touring with
Sugarland in early 2011 and playing his own shows while working on his upcoming debut album, set for release in 2012. Casey is currently giving fans a taste of what to expect on the album with the bluesy, goodtime feel of the first single, “Let’s Don’t Call It a Night,” co-written with Terry McBride and Brice Long.
