MARK WAYNE GLASMIRE Brings Compelling Vocals & New Tunes To Global Market With January 10 EP Rollout
Debut Video, "Going Home," Airing Now On The Country Network
Award-winning Songwriter's New Project Includes NINE-WEEK #1 International Single
Nashville, TN (November 9, 2011) -- Award-winning songwriter Mark Wayne Glasmire brings his compelling vocals and new tunes to the global market with the January 10, 2012 rollout of his seven-song EP, MARK WAYNE GLASMIRE (Traceway Records).  The disc, currently featured on iTunes' Country New And Noteworthy page, includes the International smash, "I Like You," alight-hearted ode that kept the entertainer at #1 on the HotDisc Chart for nine consecutive weeks earlier this year.  The EP's first U.S. single, the poignant "Going Home," was released in September.  The song, inspired by a conversation Mark had with a friend who was retiring from a decades-long military career, is the subject of Glasmire's debut video, a Harold Jarboe (Bell-Jarboe Films production, http://youtu.be/9u6cl8zjI7A). The video is currently airing on The Country Network, American Music Channel, Roughstock, Yallwire and Yahoo!Music.  A portion of the proceeds from song/video sales will benefit  www.combatmarinesoutdoors.org/?p=300.  Glasmire will tour U.S. radio stations throughout year's end in support of the EP.
Co-produced by Glasmire and John Albani (Steve Azar, Monty Holmes, Randy Boudreaux), the EP features A-list Nashville pickers, along with Mark's signature guitar work.  "It was truly a labor of love," Mark says.  "There's a certainty and commitment that I think come across in the music."
From the driving "Last Of A Dying Breed," which targets a lack of accountability in today's society with a gospel-inspired piano intro and rock guitar licks, Glasmire segues to a laid-back salute to palm trees and ocean breezes with "I Like You."  His voice is honest and rich, moving and capable, and he "sells" the poignant ballads, "Going Home" and "The Last Goodbye" as easily as the rockin', Brooks & Dunn-esque "She's Got It All."  Mark's chops are evident in the bonus track, "Now I Believe," and his vocal ability is stunningly obvious in the disc's closer, "The Moment."
"This is what I do," Glasmire admits with a trademark grin.  "I've been running the road for a lot of years; from the East Coast to the West Coast, with Nashville in between. I've got an abundance of life experience to draw from."  The Texas-based artist is not only a mesmerizing performer (he's shared the stage with Guy Clark, Dierks Bentley and other top-tier acts), but he is also an award-winning songwriter who claimed last year's Grand Prize in the Country Song division of the 2010 Chris Austin Songwriting Contest (held at Merlefest).
MARK WAYNE GLASMIRE is available now at itunes.apple.com/us/app/mark-wayne-glasmire/id464905263?mt=8 and other e-tailers, and rolls out January 10, 2012.
